Biography
A member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 1994. She has over 25 years of experience in handling Litigation cases before Egyptian courts, advising over 400 0 on various areas of practice including inter alia, start up and operation of their business in Egypt: corporate, restructuring, litigation, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, immigration, trademark and patent licensing skilled mediator, strong leader.
Marwa deals with clients’ queries, legal correspondence and opinions in three languages, Arabic, English and French, regarding compliance, corporate and regulatory matters. Providing guidance, support and training to junior and other staff as required on legal and general admin duties.
Individually, Marwa assisted/continue to assist many of NGOs on a pro bono basis such as the World Bank, IFC, since 2011 up to date. She Contributed to the Doing Business Report of the World Bank and IFC which investigating the regulations that enhance business activity in Egypt and also the Women, Business and the Law Report which was focusing on benchmarks the Egyptian laws and regulations influencing women’s capacities and decisions to participate in the workforce and to start businesses.
Due to her active practice and achievements, in 2012, Marwa was appointed as an expert in Islamic Shari'ah & Egyptian Civil Law regarding marriage, divorce & related issues, at the Massachusetts Court, USA in a divorce case deposition.
